An Intimate Yacht Wedding on Long Beach Island, NJ

As a Jersey Shore wedding photographer, I have the privilege of documenting weddings of every size, but there is something incredibly special about intimate celebrations. Norina and Tyler's June wedding aboard the Lady Grace Yacht on the beautiful Long Beach Island bay was one of those days I'll never forget.

Their wedding was a perfect reminder that your day doesn't have to be the biggest and most extravagant to be unforgettable. Surrounded by the water, warm summer air, and the people who mean the most to them, every part of their celebration felt intentional and genuine.

From Rainy NJ Engagement Photos to the Perfect Wedding Day

One of my favorite parts about working with Norina and Tyler was getting to know them long before their wedding day during their engagement photos.

The weather definitely wasn't on our side for their engagement session. We watched the forecast all week, hoping it would clear, but rain was unavoidable. Even with the gloomy skies, they didn’t want to cancel. They embraced the weather, trusted the process, and we created some truly beautiful images together. Looking back now, it almost feels like the weather was saving all of the sunshine for their wedding day.

When June finally arrived, they were gifted the most perfect weather imaginable. Calm water, blue skies, and a warm Jersey Shore eveningβ€”it couldn't have been more different from their engagement session.

An Intimate Ceremony on the Lady Grace Yacht

Norina and Tyler chose to begin their wedding day with a private ceremony aboard the Lady Grace Yacht before welcoming family and friends later that evening.

There was something so peaceful about those first moments as husband and wife. No distractions. No rushing from one event to the next. Just the two of them taking in the significance of the day while cruising through the Long Beach Island bay.

These are the moments I love capturing the mostβ€”the genuine emotions that happen when couples have the chance to simply be present together.

Sneaking Away to the Beach

Before guests arrived for the evening celebration, Norina turned to me with a simple question:

"Should we go take photos on the beach?"

Without hesitation, we hopped off the yacht and escaped for a little while.

Sometimes the best wedding photos aren't plannedβ€”they happen when couples decide to slow down and soak everything in. We wandered onto the beach, away from everyone else, giving Norina and Tyler a few quiet moments together as newlyweds.

They walked barefoot through the sand, laughed together, held each other close, and took in the fact that they were officially husband and wife. There wasn't a timeline to worry about or a crowd waiting behind us. It was just the two of them, the ocean breeze, and one incredibly beautiful Jersey Shore evening.

Those portraits quickly became some of my favorite images from the entire wedding day because they perfectly reflected who they are together.

An Evening Celebrating on the Water

After our little beach adventure, we returned to the yacht where their family and friends had arrived to celebrate.

The evening was filled with heartfelt conversations, laughter, and an absolutely delicious meal freshly prepared aboard the Lady Grace Yacht. As the sun began to set over the Long Beach Island bay, everyone gathered on deck to enjoy the incredible views, celebrate the newlyweds, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

It was relaxed, elegant, and completely centered around what mattered mostβ€”spending quality time with the people they love.

Why I Love Intimate Jersey Shore Weddings

As a Jersey Shore wedding photographer, weddings like Norina and Tyler's remind me why I love what I do. Intimate weddings allow couples to slow down, be fully present, and create space for authentic moments that often become their favorite memories.

Whether you're planning a yacht wedding, a beach ceremony, or a small waterfront celebration anywhere along the Jersey Shore, your wedding day should feel like you. The biggest weddings aren't always the most memorableβ€”sometimes it's the quiet moments, like sneaking away to the beach together just minutes after saying "I do," that become the moments you'll cherish forever.

Norina and Tyler, thank you for trusting me to document such a beautiful chapter of your story. From embracing the rain during your engagement session to celebrating beneath perfect June skies on your wedding day, it was an absolute honor to capture every moment. I wish you both a lifetime of love, laughter, and adventures together.
